With just 100 days to go before Spain hosts its first Solheim Cup, BMW Automotor Premium has been presented as the event’s sustainable official car. The company will be providing a fleet of all-electric cars for the tournament, which will pit Europe’s leading tour pros against their United States rivals during three days of intense competition (22-24 September) at Finca Cortesín.

Costa Press Club members gained intriguing insight into the 2023 Solheim Cup when Alicia Garrido from Deporte and Business was guest speaker for the association’s monthly meeting at Andalucia Lab in Marbella. 

Following the meeting, Costa Press Club members and their guests enjoyed exquisite canapés prepared by caterers from the Delicias Gourmet Group.  The biennial event will be played at Finca Cortesín from 22 to 24 September.

Nine months out from the first Solheim Cup to be held in Spain, the biennial women’s team competition between Europe and the United States is already “smashing economic forecasts”.

Sisters Nelly and Jessica Korda are the latest stars to confirm their participation in the Aramco Team Series – Sotogrande at La Reserva Club. One of the Ladies European Tour’s showpiece events, and part of a series played around the world, the $1 million tournament on the Costa del Sol (18-20 August) features an innovative fourball format in which three LET professionals compete in each team together with an amateur golfer.  (more…)

LAURA DAVIES nearly blew it for a second consecutive tournament but the English veteran held on to win the Spanish Women’s Open at Flamingos. It was the 47-year-old’s fourth victory of the 2010 Ladies European Tour season, and 76th career title (including 20 in the US), and set up her up with an excellent opportunity to top the order of merit for an eighth time.
