Legacy project supports young sporting talent

SEVE BALLESTEROS was the special guest at a presentation in Madrid of El Legado, a project created to help talented young sportsmen and women in Spain to develop their potential.

The aim of the project is to cover all sports though it is currently focused on golf, motor racing, tennis and fencing.

The first major challenge has been launched on Canal+ Golf TV; a weekly programme, El Legado, involving 20 candidates who want to become professional golfers. After a series of tests and evaluations by a jury, two winners (male and female) will be chosen to take part in an exclusive mentoring programme by CLC, and also compete in the Mayakoba Golf Classic on the US PGA Tour and Madrid Ladies Masters on the Ladies European Tour in 2011.

Joining Seve at the presentation were Andrés Pan de Soraluce, managing director of Desarrollos de OHL; CLC founder Ángel Sanz; Canal+ Golf director Hugo Costa; and former LET number one Paula Martí.
